Today we had to say goodbye to our cat. He has been with my husband for the past 20 years. I had the pleasure of being with him and being his “mom” for the past 5. It was a very hard decision to make for us, but with the rapid decline of his health we knew it was time. My husband found a mobile vet who came over our house, she examined our cat and agreed it was time. She explained the procedure to us, and gave us the time to grieve and say goodbye. We sat with him for a few minutes as he slowly stopped breathing, both of us in tears, petting him, kissing him. He will be missed!
